About Uggly&Co
In 1986, Wallace and Gillian Rollins launched the very first issue of Road Racing Ireland, with Joey Dunlop fittingly on the cover. Forty years and more than 300 issues later, it’s still the world’s only road racing magazine. It publishes 11 issues a year, chronicling the riders and teams who come from around the world to race on the roads of Ireland, the Isle of Man, the UK and beyond.
Thirty years after that first issue, in 2016, Al Morris arrived on the Isle of Man looking for some peace and quiet. He’d been told by doctors to step away from work, and he’d landed slap bang in the middle of TT fortnight. Waved by the orange army into the forecourt of an old, derelict petrol station on the course, now known as the Black Dub, he stood surrounded by the noise, the speed and the raw energy of road racing. That’s where Uggly&Co was born.
Uggly&Co has been part of the road racing paddock ever since. Its first supported team was Binch Racing at the 2019 Classic TT, with Adam McLean, Lee Johnston and Gary Vines. That support has never stopped. Uggly&Co continues to back riders from Ireland and Northern Ireland, and in 2026 fielded Josh Brookes on the Supersport machine at the TT.
Both are family-founded and independent, and both are built on the same culture. Road Racing Ireland is a magazine started by a husband and wife. Uggly&Co is a brand run by Al and his son Tooey, who grew up in the paddock being pulled around on toolboxes. Neither came from boardrooms. Both came from the roadside, the paddock and the people who make this sport what it is: the sparkies, chippies and grafters working all week to afford tyres and fuel for the weekend.
Ireland and the Isle of Man are the twin hearts of road racing, so bringing the two together made complete sense. That’s why we’re proud to welcome Road Racing Ireland as an official Uggly&Co stockist.
